LAND RIGHTS NOT GAS

LAND RIGHTS NOT GAS

This week politicians will vote on the Morrison Government giving $50 million of public money to gas corporations to frack in the Northern Territory.

Traditional Owners have been fighting to stop this outrageous cash splash for gas for fracking corporations.

Now we need to push Labor and key members of the senate to vote with Traditional Owners, vote to stop public money handouts to rich Liberal Party mates, and vote to stop billions of tonnes of climate pollution.

Contact your Labor MP and/or Senator to put First Nations and climate justice at the centre of their vote.

Traditional Owners are leading a powerful campaign to stop the ongoing threat of fracking on their Country. Add your voice to support the fight to stop big gas corporations using public money for gas that threatens to emit toxic fumes, destroy sacred sites, pollute the air, poison waterways and make people sick.

This is a critical moment for our MPs and Sentators to hear from us, the Labor Party and key members of the crossbench are on the fence. Make sure your MP and Senators know you want them to stand with Traditional Owners not public money handouts to Morrison's corporate mates.

Email Tips +

Introduce yourself at the beginning of your email and state that you're a constiuent. Tell them why you think funding gas is a bad idea and use the drafted message to add in details.

Remember to be polite and respectful to your representative politicians, their vote is critical and we want to encourage them to vote for First Nations and Climate Justice.

Make sure to check all the boxes are ticked for 'send email' to all the Labor and crossbench Sentaors and your Labor MP if you live in a Labor seat.

Why is my Labor MP important if the vote is in the Senate? Only Senate members will vote this week, but Labor votes on the party line so we need to make sure that all Labor MPs are hearing from us as they can influence the vote.
